Build Quality, Design and Form Factor
Panasonic P51 has really good build quality as it really feels solid in hands, the back cover is made up of good quality of plastic and finish is glossy but device is also available in black color as well which has a rubberized matt finish back cover. The design of the phone is good with only 8.5 mm in thickness and 135 grams of weight it feels really being a 5 inch display smartphone. The form factor is not too good to hold as the edges are not curved nicely but there are pointed but the thickness makes it easy to go into your jeans pocket or any carry bag with the supplied flip cover it gives the device a more premium look as well.
Display, Memory and Battery Backup
The display is 5 Inch IPS LCD display with 720 x 1280 pixels, 5.0 inches (~294 ppi pixel density) and the viewing angles are good but not very wide, you can easily notice the fading of colors happening at wide angles when you see the display. The memory of the device is a bit limited with 4Gb internal and 2.06 GB available to user. Although you have the option of expanding the device memory with SD card but you cannot install apps directly on SD card but you can move apps from phone memory to SD card. The battery backup is good last for around one day with moderate usage.
Software, Benchmarks and Gaming
The software UI is almost stock android, we did not notice any customizations, you will get the stock android experience on this phone which is much better than customized UI which is sluggish on most of the android phones these days but icons are different in terms of look and feel. The GPU on the device is Power VR SGX 544MP which is quite capable both casual and graphic intensive games. Benchmark Scores for Canvas 3D

Sound, Video and Navigation
The sound quality is good and but the loud speaker is not that loud in terms of volume but through the earphones its really good, the device can play HD videos at 720p and 1080p without any problem or issue. It can also be used for navigation with the help of assisted GPS.

Conclusion and Price
Panasonic P51 is a great phone in terms of the hardware specs, design and build quality and the look of the phone is also quite good specially the white color variant. On the performance front as well the phone is quite a good performer but the only problem with the phone is the price, it was launched at an MRP of Rs. 26,000 but now its available for a Rs. 22,000 approx but still phones with this much hardware and specs are cheaper and another reason is that people right now don’t perceive panasonic as a smartphone brand.
