Build Quality, Design and Form Factor
Moto G has one of the best built quality and nice material being used at a budget price point as compared to the other phones available at the same price point. The design is quite simple with matte finish rubberized back cover which gives a great feel to hold in one hand and also provides a great grip. The overall design is very simple with rounded corners and glossy border which gives the phone a great look. The overall form factor of the phone is good enough as its feels fairly light with weight of 143 grams. Thickness of the 11.6 mm does not make it thinnest but rounded back cover makes it easy to hold and carry around with you and all this make this phone fairly portable and pocket friendly.
Camera Performance
The rear camera is 5 MP with auto focus and LED flash helps in low light and dark environment scenarios but I would rather recommend you to not take photos with flash. The overall image quality is average, don’t expect too much details in the photos, but with properly lit scenarios you will get decent photos. The front camera is 1.3 MP which can help you do video chat and call with decent quality, check out our camera review to see the quality.

Display, Memory and Battery Backup
It has 4.5 IPS LCD display with HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels which gives a pixel density of 326 which is good enough to make sure that you don’t feel any pixilation on this screen. It has pretty good viewing angles which makes it good decent in terms of display at this price point. In built memory of the phone is 8Gb or 16Gb on which you can get 5 GB or 12 GB available to the user. One thing which is rather disappointing on it is that it does not have slot for MicroSD card to expand the storage, so we recommend you to go for 16gb storage and OTG is by default supported but in a limited way, you cannot connect a flash drive and read it. The battery backup of the phone is something which impressed us, as it gave more than 1 day of backup most of the days during our review. But for heavy users who would like to watch lot of videos or play some games they will barely get one day of usage.
Software, Benchmarks and Gaming
The software UI is stock android and has Kit Kat running on it, all this makes the UI snappy and responsive. The overall gaming capability of the device is such that it can run light and medium graphic intensive games like Temple Run OZ and Front line commando D day but some heavy games will either not get installed due to low storage but if you can install them then they will run but may not very smoothly. Sound, Video and Navigation
The overall sound which comes out from loudspeaker is fairly loud but not too loud and its clear as well. The display is HD which can also play HD videos at 720p and for 1080p videos you can play them in MX player with enabling hardware and software decoding. You can use it for GPS navigation with the help of assisted GPS, you just need to enable location access and GPS navigation option. You do have some audio enhancements options with equalizer support, 3g connectivity works fine and sound quality through earpiece is clear even in low cellphone signal areas.

Conclusion and Price
Moto G is available for a price of around 12,500 INR for 8 GB and 14,000 INR for 16 Gb version, at this price point this is one of the best hardware you can get at this price point, with great build quality and almost pure android experience and you can also expect to have android updates pushed to the faster to device as compared to other devices in this price segment. Two only bad things which are not at all the deal breaker but does make a difference in longer run is average camera quality and limited storage.
