Display and Processor
The Unite A092 comes with a 4 inch display which has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It is up against the 4.3 inch display unit of the Moto E which has a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels and additionally features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top of it. The Moto E comes across as a better one in this regard. The Unite A092 has a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor ticking under the hood coupled with a 1GB RAM. The Moto E on the other hand a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 coupled with a 1GB RAM. So the Unite A092 is expected to perform slightly better than the Motorola counterpart.
Camera and Internal Storage
The camera unit at the back of the Moto E is a 5MP unit without a LED flash but it lacks a front camera. The Unite A092 on the other hand has a better imaging unit. It gets a 5MP camera at the rear with a LED flash and it is joined in by a VGA front camera. So the base of the Unite A092 is covered pretty well in the imaging department. The internal storage of the Moto E stands at 4GB and can be expanded with the help of a microSD card by another 32GB. The Unite A092 on the other hand has an internal storage capacity of 8GB which can be further expanded by 32GB. Seeing the fact that internal storage is getting more and more important these days, the Unite A092 makes a lot more sense.
Battery and Operating System
The battery unite inside the Unite A092 is a 1,500 mAh one while the Moto E has a 1,980 mAh unit inside it. The Moto E has a better battery back up than the Micromax counterpart and it has already showcased its worth in that department. The Moto E runs on Android 4.4.3 KitKat and has been promised the next major Android update too which is a pretty good thing for a budget smartphone. The Unite A092 on the other hand runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and it might get the KitKat update too but we wouldn’t set our hopes too high.
Key Specs
Conclusion
The pricing of the Unite A092 will determine its success. If priced around Rs 6,000-6,500 it would surely do well. And it’s a bit difficult to find the Moto E in stock too. If you can live with a slightly older version of Android, the Unite A092 makes for a good choice but the optimisation of the Moto E makes it a really good buy too.
