LG V30 Specifications
Unveiled at the IFA 2017 in Berlin, the LG V30 comes with many upgrades, be it in terms of hardware or software. To start with, LG has used an H-Beam structure to balance the V30 and give it durability, making it a military-grade smartphone. Featuring a 6-inch FullVision P-OLED display with Quad HD+ resolution, the LG V30 offers a more immersive and rich user experience. Packing 16MP + 13MP dual camera combination at the back, the LG V30 features a f/1.6 aperture lens. With a 5MP front camera having a f/2.2 aperture, LG V30 uses glass instead of plastic in the lenses, promising more detailed and lossless images. On the hardware front, it comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. LG will offer a 128GB variant later that will be called the V30+. The phone supports expandable storage up to 2TB using a microSD card. LG has made several notable additions in terms of software. Featuring Android 7.1.2 with LG UX 6.0+, the LG V30 does away with the secondary display. Instead, LG has added a Floating Action Bar that will let you quickly access shortcuts. The V30 also features Always-On display which can be customized to a great extent. Powered by a 3,300 mAh battery, the LG V30 supports QuickCharge 3.0 and wireless charging. The phone supports a single SIM card, although you can expect LG to launch a dual SIM variant in India. Other features of the phone include a fingerprint sensor on the back, a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth, NFC, and WiFi as the primary connectivity options. LG has not revealed the exact pricing and availability details as of now.
Google Assistant On LG V30
LG fans are definitely in for a surprise because the LG V30 features several exclusive commands in Google Assistant. Apart from voice unlocking using any user-set hot word, Google Assistant will do much more on the LG V30. To start with, you will be able to directly command Google Assistant to open the camera in wide-angle mode by saying ‘Take a wide-angle photo’. Also, Google Assistant will work on the V30 even when the screen is off or while the phone is playing music.
