There is a huge population in India which is residing in the rural country and they do not have any clue about the advantages and the strength that lie in the ability of these devices. In this initiative Intel has also supported by NASSCOM and few other eco system players. To increase the popularity of these computing devices Croma and Reliance Digital along with nine other PC equipment manufacturers and four telecom service providers will be coming up with exciting discounts and offers for the users in these rural areas. Sandeep aurora, the director of marketing and market development of Intel said, “Intel realizes the benefits a PC can bring to a consumer to help accentuate a person’s skills and employability, foster growth and nurture creativity; thereby helping bring about a nationwide change. In our quest to bring about nationwide awareness for digital literacy, we will continue to scale our efforts under the National Digital Literacy Mission and through this new campaign we will urge consumers to pursue their passions and creativity with the power of an Intel processor powered computer.” This initiative by Intel will surely help the people from the rural areas to utilise the resources to the best possible extent especially when now a days there is a separate world out there which is only available for the people who are in consistent touch with the internet. We hope that the results of this initiative will overstep the results observed in Intel Easy Steps programme (it impacted over one million learners).
