This phone features latest Android 4.3 with the latest Sense 5.5 UI from HTC on top. Sense 5.5 lets you add your RSS and Google+ feed to Blink Feed. Now, you can also turn off blink feed if you want. The blink feed is an HTC feature using which you can view notifications from various sources including social networking sites on your home screen. This phone features a 5.9 Inch display sports 1920 x 1080 pixels full HD resolution which gives you 373 ppi which is pretty good considering the screen size and you won’t see resolved pixels. The Finger print scanner is present at the back below the camera lens and you have to swipe your fingers in up-down motion to unlock the screen. You can also launch up to 3 apps using different fingers. This phone is powered by a 1.7 GHz Quad core Snapdragon 600 processor which is backed by 2 GB of RAM and will be available in 16 GB and 32 GB internal storage variants. HTC One Max has microSD support and thus you can extend storage. This chipset is expected to give you smooth performance and UI transitions. The camera is the Ultra pixel camera with F2.0 aperture and 1/3” BSI sensor. This phone also features Optical image stabilization and 28 mm Lens. HTC‘s ultra pixel is larger in size than conventional pixel and measures 2 micrometer which helps in more absorption of light for better low light performance. The camera also sports LED smart flash which has 5 levels of flash automatically set according to distance. The camera is capable of Full HD video recording with HDR video. A 2.1 MP HD camera is also present at the front. The battery capacity is 3300 mAh which doesn’t seem extraordinarily good considering the display size. HTC has also provided with an option of a flip cover with 1200 mAh battery which you will have to buy separately. Though the back cover is removable, the battery is not. Other features include infrared remote, dual frontal speakers with built in amplifiers and dual Microphones. Connectivity features include 3G HSPA+ up to 42 Mbps, WiFi , Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX codec, NFC, DNLA, MHL and GPS with GLONASS. Most of the specs were unveiled in the leaked information, but still we expected to see the latest Snapdragon 800 which is more energy efficient and offered by most other High end phones like LG G2 and Sony Xperia Z1. The phone is also quite heavy at 217 grams. There is no news on the pricing yet and this phone is expected to be available globally starting from next week.
