Dell Venue 7 tablet comes with a 7 inch IPS LCD display with 800 x 1280 resolution which amounts to 216 pixels per inches. The display is decent enough and in range with what most Android tablets offer in this price range. The 1.6 GHz dual core Intel Atom Z2560 processor under the hood is paired with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage (MicroSD support up to 32 GB) for smooth performance. The tablet also houses a microSIM slot, 3.15 MP camera at the back, VGA front camera and a 4100 mAh battery.

The Dell Venue 8 on the other hand features an 8 inch display with similar 800 x 1280 resolution, and naturally reduced pixel density of 189 pixels per inches. The processor used is Intel Atom Z2580 dual core clocked at 2 GHz. RAM capacity remains same at 2 GB and you will also get a 32 GB onboard storage option. Other features include a 5 MP primary camera, 2 MP front shooter and non removable 4100 mAh battery. Connectivity features include HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, MicroUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS support. Both of these tablets can be bought from Dells official website or retail outlets and will constitute a viable dell branded Android option in their respective price range. While, the Venue 8 will have stiff competition from other big names like Nexus 7 2013, Xolo Tegra Note and Asus Fonepad 7, the Venue 7 will mostly compete with Nexus 7 first generation and domestic manufactured tablets.
