Talking about the Acer Iconica One 7, it comes with a 7-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Under the hood is a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor coupled with PowerVR SGX544 GPU. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean but Acer says that it is upgradable to 4.4 KitKat so that’s a good news. There will two variants with 8GB and 16GB internal storage with an option to expand the same by 32GB via a microSD card. Both will get a 1GB RAM. At the back is a 5MP camera coupled with VGA front snapper. For connectivity, there will be WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and micro USB. There will be a 3,700 mAh battery giving it the juice to run. It has been launched in Red, White, Black, Blue and Pink colors and is priced at $129.99 which translates into Rs 7,800 roughly.

The other tablet, the Acer Iconica Tab 7 has been launched in two variants with the differentiating factor being the screen resolution. The one with model number A1-713HD has a 7 inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and the A1-713 has the same screen but with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. Other specs are a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8382 processor coupled with a 1GB RAM. Both of these run on Android 4.4 KitKat (the downgraded version will soon be updated to 4.4 KitKat from 4.2 Jelly Bean). At the rear is a 5MP snapper and there’s a VGA camera up front. They get a 3G SIM card slot alongside WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and micro USB for connectivity. The exact battery size hasn’t been revealed but a battery life up to has 6 hours been promised.
